Impact of psychological capital (PsyCap) on affective commitment: mediating role of affective well-being

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating role affective well-being (AWB) in relationship between psychological capital (PsyCap) and commitment. Design/methodology/approach sample included 226 employees from diverse Portuguese organizations. Based on a survey, respondents reported their perceptions own PsyCap, AWB commitment organization. Findings Results structural equation modeling suggested presence mediation by PsyCap Practical implications Managers are encouraged gain finding emphasizing more emotional health individuals increase attachment with company. Originality/value Though there several studies indicating positive consequences employees, how affects through scarce. These results advance broaden-and-build theory suggesting that much complex.
